Amaroo End of Year Celebration at THE LUME

There's something special that happens when the Amaroo community comes together, and our End of Year Celebration at THE LUME Melbourne was no exception. The evening was a perfect blend of art, connection, and celebration of the impact we're creating together.

Our Chair, Andrew Whitney, opened the evening by sharing highlights from what has been a remarkable year for Amaroo. We celebrated a significant milestone – our community has now contributed $7 million to youth education programs, helping break the cycle of disadvantage. The night also marked the launch of our new member directory, Cooinda (Coooeee!), designed to strengthen the connections that make Amaroo unique.

We were privileged to hear from Bruce Peterson, the creative force behind THE LUME, who shared his vision for bringing great art to life in extraordinary ways. His innovative approach was on full display as we experienced Leonardo da Vinci's masterpieces in a truly immersive setting.

One of the evening's most memorable moments came during the conversation between Amaroo co-founder Andrew Phillips and internationally renowned street artist Julian Clavijo. As a valued member of our community, Julian's story of resilience and creativity reminded us all of art's profound power to connect and inspire.

Looking around the room that evening, seeing conversations flow and connections deepen, it was clear why Amaroo is so special. This is what happens when passionate people come together with shared purpose – meaningful change becomes possible.
